Terms and Conditions

1. Driving Licence and Fitness to Drive

You must hold a valid UK provisional, full or other relevant driving licence which must be produced at your first lesson. You must also be able to read a standard number plate from 20.5 metres.

It is your responsibility to inform your instructor of any changes to your health or licence that may affect your ability to drive.

2. Cancellations and Punctuality

At least 48 hours' notice is required for the cancellation or rescheduling of any lesson. If less than 48 hours' notice is given, the full lesson fee will be charged.

Your instructor will wait for 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you do not arrive within this time, the lesson will be cancelled and the full fee charged.

3. Payments

Lessons must be paid for in advance or at the start of the lesson. Block bookings are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed with your instructor. All block bookings must be used within 6 months of purchase.

4. The Driving Test

The instructor reserves the right to withdraw the use of the school car for the driving test if they believe the student has not reached the required standard of safety.

Lancaster Driving School is not responsible for tests cancelled by the DVSA.

5. Code of Conduct

Your instructor will behave in a professional and polite manner at all times. We expect our students to do the same. We reserve the right to terminate a lesson if the student is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or behaves in an aggressive or abusive manner.

6. Liability

While every effort is made to ensure the safety and success of our students, Lancaster Driving School cannot be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of our services, except where required by law.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be updated on this page.
